Last Thursday was national Random Acts of Kindness Day and Community Service leaders organised activities for students. Students were encouraged to undertake acts of kindness with a photo competition through Social Hub. The Community Service team provided lunchtime entertainment including music, a lolly scramble, fresh fruit and fun activities in the Quad.
Congratulations to Juliet Robertson who won the Social Hub competition for her photo upload of an act of kindness.
Quinton Hurley (Year 11) has been selected to represent New Zealand at the State Teams Age Groups Short Course Swimming Championships in Canberra, Australia this month. This is as a result of a lot of hard work and outstanding performances at both the Auckland Short Course Swimming Championships and the South Island Swimming Championships held in July and August this year.
The Christchurch funk rock band 'Souldrop' featuring StAC students Finn Perring and Anna Bennetto recently put out a music video for their single 'Mill Bay' which year 12 student Grace Dephoff filmed and edited. Rosa McGunnigle and Sam Verdellen also feature in the music video. Read more about the recording here
