Centennial Chapel Dedication

On Tuesday 25 October we celebrated the opening of our brand new Centennial Chapel with a dedication and service. It was an amazing occasion shared by many members of the StAC community. See all the photos taken at the event below.

Football Player of the Year

Lily Bray (Y11) won the Youth Player award and Women's Player of the Year award at the 2016 Mainland Football Awards. Lily plays for the Canterbury United women’s team The Pride. These awards are a significant recognition of her playing ability, particularly as she is the youngest player to ever win Women's Player of the Year at 15 years old! Well done Lily.

Senior Debating Champions!

The senior StAC debating team has won the Canterbury Schools Debating Council Senior Tournament. Harrison Smith, April Oakley and Isabella Garbett (all Y13) negated the motion put forward by Christ's College that this house would severely limit companies’ ability to replace workers with technology. A special mention went to best speaker, Harrison Smith.

This win comes at the end of a long journey for this team, who has been in most finals for the last five years. It’s an amazing testament to their commitment and team work.

Theatresports semi-finals
