    Here are the course outlines for Physical Education and Health Courses taught at St Andrew's College.

    Junior Physical Education and Health




    Junior Physical Education and Health is a compulsory course for all students in Year 9 and Year 10. Year 9 have PE for 2 lessons per week, and 1 period of Health. Year 10 students have two lessons of PE and three lessons of Te Waka which incorporates the Health content.

  • NCEA Physical Education (PED)

    NCEA Physical Education is offered at Levels One, Two and Three. 

  • Other Courses run by the PE Department

    St Andrew's College values the impact of regular physical activity and the benefits that it has on students' health and well-being. We are fortunate to be able to offer the following non-NCEA courses which are compulsory for all students.

     Physical Education 

    • Year 11 - Two lessons per week
    • Year 12 - One lesson per week
    • Year 12 Leadership - One lesson per week for One Term
    • Year 13 - One lesson per week for one semester

    Health

    Year 10 - Three lessons per week through Te Waka programme

    Year 11 - Core Health - One lesson per week or

                   Health Studies - two lessons per week - up to 12 NCEA Health credits                                                       available.

    Year 13 - One lesson per week for one semester.
