StAC Student Wins BNZ Literary Award

Elizabeth Ray (Year 11) has won the BNZ Young Writing Award in the 2013 BNZ Literary Awards for her short story “Don’t look away”. Sue Orr, judge of the Young Writer Award, said of Lizzy’s piece “Don't Look Away is a superbly crafted account of a moment in time; that moment being the end of grief and the re-embracing of life after a fatal car accident”. As part of the award, Lizzy has won a $1500 prize for herself and $2000 for the College. Congratulations Lizzy on the well-deserved award.
